          Dover Building Supply, Inc. has been serving Delaware and surrounding areas since 1998.

          Our focus and commitment to customer service has fueled our growth over the years, resulting in expansion to a location in Wilmington, Delaware.

          We offer various products lines, with products including, but not limited to, building materials, windows, hardware, kitchens, commercial doors and equipment.

          We offer only the finest products and materials available for commercial and residential construction, and we at Dover Building Supply, Inc. are confident in our ability to satisfy contractors and homeowners alike.

Our History

          Originally, Dover Building Supply, Inc. was the branch store of A.H. Angerstein, Inc., when they expanded from Elsmere, Delaware to Dover Delaware in the 1970’s. Jeff Cosetti was transferred as the General Manager in 1981 and John Edwards was hired in 1984, ascending to Assistant Manager after a short time.

On March 1, 1998, the two managers partnered to purchase the Dover store, and changed the name to Dover Building Supply, Inc., trading as Angerstein’s of Dover. After several years, the name Angerstein’s of Dover was dropped, and Dover Building Supply, Inc. was born.

Due to a desire to serve all of Delaware, the partners announced the acquisition of the Commercial Door Division from A.H. Angerstein, Inc. on October 1, 2003. In May of 2004 the Wilmington Commercial Door Division moved to its current location in Germay Industrial Park, Wilmington, Delaware.
